this is for driving the ball with a normal 9 iron. maybe also with a driver.

If you are swinging right-handed, and the ball is fading to the right, then you have a slice swing. Trying choking down on the club some, closing the club-head slightly at take back and at impact and then keeping your head down all the way through your swing. Good Luck!

do not close the clubface.do not aim further to the left.these things will make u hit the ball even further right
you could either have a bad grip or
a flaw in ur swing plane.
the slice is the hardest thing to correct. if ur an avid golfer l would suggest booking a lesson with a pro asap.the worst thing u can do when correcting a slice is to beat ball after ball.
Whatever correction the pro gives you.work on swing memory without a golf ball.

Ok so off the top of my head without seeing ur swing
check
1. grip
2. alignement - if u r aligned wrong..this may cause u to overcompensate during ur swing
3. make sure u take the club a little on the inside in ur takeaway..when u get to the top.pull the club down on the inside.rather than over the top.
4. check shoulder alignment..i see it all the time.shoulders aimed left of target means ball is slicing.

It is really weird l had EXACTLY the same problem!
do not get a new club do not change anything apart from what im about to tell you.
imagine that the club face has got a face and he has to keep look at the ball for as long as it can. then just swing straight through.

l had that problem. l had new grips put on my clubs in indicators of where my thumbs should be. l get my thumbs lined up correctly, make sure the tips of my fingers on the right hand wrap around the shaft and touch the inside of my left thumb. l get lined up with the ball and pick my driver up very slowly to ensure l do not get it out of line and come to the inside. My drive is very straight now, l just need sights to be sure l am aiming correctly.

First and foremost:You need to get golf lessions from a qualified instructor. You need to learn the proper fundamentals of the golf swing.

you could try set your feet parallel to the line of the shot you are taking then move your left foot slightly back. This has worked for me but a lesson with a pro will correct your swing to sort this out correctly.

The simple truth is that slices ( which is what you are describing) cannot be fixed by tips from people, me included, that cannot see you swing and thus cannot see what is going wrong. There is only one way to correct swing flaws..Lessons from a teaching Pro and practice.its not a secret..its just something that all of us golfers seem to forget from time to time. Even the Guys and Gals that play on TV on Sundays have swing coaches..why not you?

dont open ur club face on the backswing keep it closed

you're either using too much right arm power especially if you're right handed; or u could be leaning back, as in when u come down for impact u tend to lean backwards or to the side, opening the clubface & impacting the ball behind instead of square on.

to fix slices, turn ur hips; do NOT use ur arm strength as it would cause u to chunk. remember to keep ur RIGHT knee BENT at ALL times. this is a power move that transfers ur power when u r on ur upswing, allowing u to release the tension in ur knee when u come down. tiger does it too.

slices r normal, do not worry about it. u might want to note ur stance too; is ur stance open or closed? for drivers u might want a bit of a flare with ur feet but not too much. it makes u more balanced & wont cause u to lean back as much.

There are multitudes of quick fixes for different people. Mine was to focus on the rotation of the club head at the end of the swing. That is all it took. l lost a bit of distance, but, l am on the fairway 9 out of 10 times. l got the distance back by going to graphite shafts.

if you are right handed you may be opening up the club face at impact or maybe if you check your feet you may be lined up to hit that way

this means you have the head of your club open at impact.
when swinging try to close it a little.
if you close it too much your ball will go left.

Ummmmm.It is kind of silly to try and analyze someone is golf swing without seeing it. There could be several possible reasons. The worst thing you can do is put on a bandaid to cure it. It may work sometimes but then when you take an otherwise good swing, that little ''fix'' will likely result in a serious hook.
