l though l saw at work something on the golf channel about Boo Weekley retiring and l havent seen anything else about it today.IS this true.

No. Weekley is not retiring anytime soon. He is made it clear that he wants to make enough money to spend the rest of his life hunting & fishing (and with his family). With the money he is made, he is looking at perhaps another seven years on tour before he is reached that goal.

Tim Rosaforte is interview with Weekley discussed that, but Weekley was candid (as usual), admitting that he is a much better golfer than he thought he was, & that the Ryder Cup helped prove that.

l can not imagine he would. He is just starting to come into his game.

l definitely would not be surprised if he retired in the next year to two years. He has made just under $6,000,000 in his 4 years on the PGA Tour and few years on the Nationwide tour. That does not include sponsor money and money for teeing it up from tournament sponsors.

2 or 3 more wins, and l bet he is out of there. He still lives in a double trailer so l am sure his living expenses are not too high, l am sure he has quite a few million in the bank as it is.

Nope, that was just a way of getting people curious about him. But it was just him saying that he would want to retire after making some money and then leave the field for the younger generation to take the game forward. he did say about 7-8 years.
