The best bet would be to go to a golf specialty store (Golfmart or Galaxy Golf) & check out their used wedges. You can always get a real good deal if u know what ur looking for. Make sure the groves r not worn & the over all look of the club head is still good. (No chips or dents) Also the grip should be in reasonable shape. l lucked out & found a 52 degree Vokey spin milled wedge at a used sporting goods store (Play-It Again Sports) with excellent groves & a brand new Lamkin grip for 40 bucks. If u want new check out the Pinseeker wedges at Golfmart. The link does not show u the face but the milled face on these things r ridiculous. Your ball will check up out of any lie.

l disagree on buying a used wedge. One of the most important features on a wedge is the condition of the grooves on the face. These r what ''grip'' the ball & impart spin, allowing u to control how a ball flies, lands, & spins. Used wedges will most likely have sub-standard grooves. You can always get a groove sharpener or cleaner (like this: http://rockbottomgolf.com/19gldeglgrooveg.html ) but seems to me you'd be better off buying new, cheap wedges.

l play wilson harmonized wedges. l love them. l have played my nike's, Titleist, and Taylor Made is and for competition's, l will still go back to my Wilson's. Should be able to find them for about 30-40 bucks.

l use 56 degrees from mizuno and am very happy with it

If you are just getting started, any name brand used 56 degree wedge for under 30 bucks will serve you fine. Unless you play for a lot of money do not worry about the grooves. Look for between 6 and 10 degrees bounce and a good feeling grip.
