l have bullseye style putter head (i dont know what year it was made) but it is produced by taylor made (not taylormade as l thought at first).It is called the Green Velvet head model 101 24k gold plated.l have looked on ebay and vintage golf club sites to no avail.If anyone knows anything about this putter please help me out.Thanks a bunch.

Generally, 24-karat gold plated putters are not valuable, just cosmetically pleasing to the eye. At the most l would say it is worth $40-$50. It is from the Taylor Made brand, just one of their originals, and not as valuable as, let is say, an original Titleist/Accushnet Bullseye.

Most gold plated putters are commemorative for a golfer who retired, a present for an achievement, etc. The base is usually a commercial putter with minimum gold plating, and engraved with some inscription. Mine looks classy, requires a special sock and has not sunk a decent putt yet. But that is the mechanic is fault, not a fault of the club.

Plating can be a few millionths of an inch thick, so chances are the total amount of gold is almost negligible. For reference, spot price of gold at this moment is $25.80US / gram.
