l can not afford anything much more expensive than one of these sets. These are the best sets that are within my budget, and l was wondering which one you think is better.

anytime u buy a package set, there more than likely junk, but l would suggest purchasing adams ovation 3 iron set, set comes 3-pw, sw, & a lw for 200 bucks at d*icks sporting goods, l would stay away from the box set of clubs, for 200 dollars for a whole set of clubs ur going to get wat u payed for, not much, they will break & ull end up wasting 200 bucks on them & then buying a better set. l have the adams ovation 2 irons & l lvoe them, good set of irons had them for 2 years & didnt have a problem with any iron, & for 200 bucks u cant beat it.

Check eBay for some deals, but make sure to buy domestically with tons of feedback because there r a lot of counterfeit clubs out there.

l got a Target set for my birthday as my beginner clubs. It was a set of John Daly clubs that served me well until l grew into the game more. If u r looking for a beginner set, & do not plan on playing every single day but want to get some rounds in, pick up those clubs. They r not of the best quality but they will get u by.

l can not tell u which of these sets r better, but l can tell u that neither is likely to be very good.

Unfortunately, the clubs sold at the sporting goods chains (Sports Authority, Dicks, etc.) & discount stores (WalMart, KMart, etc.) r manufactured at a lower quality level than the clubs you'd typically find at a golf shop. They do this in order to push volume through the chain store at a reasonably high level of profit. In short, they sell poor quality clubs at a sizable markup in order to make a profit off the uninformed consumer.

You're going to be far better served going to a local golf shop or even a golf chain like Golfsmith or Golf Galaxy, as the quality of the set will be significantly higher. You will even be able to find some sets in that same cost range.

However, as it is nearly October and, depending on where u live, golf season will be coming to an end relatively soon, l suggest u wait a bit before u buy, as the golf shops will all be holding sales soon to close out their year & move excess inventory. If u wait, u can find some real bargains.

As well, do not be afraid to buy used clubs. Particularly if they're sold be a reputable shop that stands behind their sales, this is another way u can save big $.

Finally, u can wait & hope to get lucky like me.stumble into a going out of business sale when l was only looking to get my 10 year old son his first set of junior clubs. l got him everything he needed, & picked up all new irons, woods, a bag, balls & miscelaneous stuff for myself. In the end, l walked out with ~$1,600 in gear for less than $600. It was a really good day!!

Well there r better clubs in Sports Authority than that, l recommend getting another set than that. Try to get the Orlimar, or the Wilson Tour Rx Set, or the Tommy Armour set from Sports Authority. l recommend going to the Sports Authority store to look & get these. These sets like the Orlimar or Wilson Tour Rx Set r not available online anymore, & get the Wilson Tour Rx set that is colored blue, that is the one l recommend, l know there is one online called Wilson Tour Rx colored like red, do not get that one, get the blue one, it is better. So just go to ur Sports Authority store, & they have it there, not online anymore, but u can go online to check where the nearest store is.
