l was wondering which would be a better option getting woods or hybrids of same loft. l know getting hybrids would save me some green but is this really the smart move getting to the putting greens. l have hit them both but only have computer data for distances how far they went. So would a 3 and 5 wood be smarter then a hybrid of that loft. Alsoshould l use a 3 hybrid with a 20 degree loft rather then a 21 degree 7 wood.

It just depends on which you hit better. Many amatuers struggle with fwy woods because the shaft is too long for them to hit it consistently and they put too hard of a swing on them. If you hit woods well, then you should probably carry a 3 and 5 wood and a 3,4,and 5 hybrid. If you hit hybrids better, you should at least get a deep faced 3 wood that you can hit off the tee.

Hybrids are shorter in length. Easier to get centre of hit. Source some demos and measure on course at a quiet par 3. Hit them off the deck and on the tee.

You need to hit them all & see how consistent u r with both in terms of distance & accuracy. Then consider the courses u play most often to determine which clubs will help u the most. If the courses have reachable par fives, for example, u probably want fairway woods for greatest distance, but if the fives r not reachable then maybe u want more hybrids for escaping rough or landing softer on long approach shots to the green. In any event get at least a three wood no matter what, & then additional woods or hybrids as needed.

l recommend getting a 3 and 5 wood, because you need fairway woods in your bag, it will make a big difference in your game, trust me. So get a 3 wood, and 5 wood, for more distance.

Hybrids are easier to hit than woods, but in general, if they are the same loft, woods will go further because of clubhead mass and shaft length.

l would recommend getting a 3 wood for distance and a 2Hybrid instead of a 5 wood. Hybrids will give you more shot options than a wood.

If you dont know or cant use a fairway wood then go hybrids they are much easier to use but woods go much further.
My choice would be probaly a fariway wood cause if you know how to use em they are like a diamond of you kit.
