Keep ur shoulders square & ur weight forward, it is a low punch basically & u need the feel. So next time ur at the range, after you've hit a full shot with a club no matter which club, choke up on it & try hitting the 100yrd & 150yrd with the same club. You will soon start to feel a lot more confident with all of ur clubs & then become a shot maker. Think of ur clubs as tools that u can control & do not get stuck in to thinking if it is a 5 iron u can only use it for 200 yd shots.

A good drill to create lag. Set the club & ur left arm in the ''L'' position halfway back, the club pointing up & ur left arm parallel to the ground. From there very slowly finish the backswing (turn, do not lift) & then slowly turn ur left hip toward the target. Do not do anything with ur left arm!! Watch the ''L'' come back down & stop when u get back to the start position. Feel how the ''L'' has been maintained by starting the downswing with the lower body. Go back & forth from the halfway back to halfway down position 5 or 6 times & on the last one swing through to the finish. Now step into the ball & hit it, trying to feel the ''L'' on the way down.
