i herd there was a way to calculate your swing speed threw your distance is it true and if so how

l heard this also and a few years back had what was needed. However it was wrong nothing but a wife is tale. You would take your driver hit the best drive, measure the flight time and distance. Next take a iron say a 7 do the same thing, do math and that is wrong swing speed. But the speed and swing is different for each club.

You can not do it exactly because of how many conditions factor into distance (swing speed, spin rate, launch angle, etc). But l can give u a pretty accurate scale.

With the driver, solid contact & a straight shot:
90 mph=about 225 yards carry
100 mph= 240-250 yards carry
110 mph=about 270 yards carry (this is on the low side of average for pga tour)
120 mph=290-300 yards carry (guys like Tiger)
faster than that= you're ready for the long drive tournaments!!!

Generally, the 100 mph player hits wedge 120 yards, 7 iron 150 yards, 5 iron about 175.
