l have just started playing golf but come from scotland, and l hope to play golf all throughout the year even in the winter, and if you know scotland it can get really cold and really wet, so how do l prepare for the weather, l also have msn messenger if you wish to help

Always carry an umbrella with you.

A golf wind proof coat will be good. Also a jumper.

Theres not really alot more to be honest.

Its just something that when you play golf more you will naturally know what to take to be able to swing freely aswell as being warm and dry

when l was in golf tournaments in the fall and winter l wore under armor and sweat or workout pants.i also used sports wear by adidas. alot of their material are water and wind resistant.

Laura, playing in Scotland in winter presents a formidable challenge.
In order to best be prepared:

Take an umbrella.

Warm hat.

Windproof and waterproof jacket and trousers (preferably Gortex)

Fleece style thermal shirt.

Think layers rather than bulk.

Spare glove and socks.

The other have good advice, but u may also want to keep a towel or two in ur bag. You can dry off the grips & ur hands with it. Chamois cloth works well too.

Also, if u wear a glove, take it off & stick it in ur pocket between shots to help keep it dry, & use a rain cover or towel to keep ur clubs dry when they're not in use.

For rain gear, I'd bring an umbrella, a lightweight rainsuit, & a hat of some sort. For the cold, keep a pair of warm gloves to put on between shots; Under Armour or something similar will work well to layer without being bulky.

Whatever you would have worn in Scotland on a cold,wet and windy day on the course is what you would wear here on a cold, wet and windy day. There is little difference but as this dude has aged and developed some sense he no longer plays on those cold, wet and windy days.

all of the above are good, but there is one thing missing from all of them. Waterproof Golf Shoes!!! nothing ruins a round quicker than a pair of cold, wet, blistered feet.

Long sleeve inner shirt, and rain gear which will stop the water and wind.
