Hello. I am 15. l have pondered on that statement for weeks now and l can not figure it out. l wanna be a pro golfer and l am on track but l do not just wanna be a pro l wanna be the best ever. What is it that makes Tiger the dominant force that he is. l understand he works hard and practices hours on end. l practice hours a day and work out. l concentrate and never let my guard down but every duffs a ball on occasion. l have shot par one day and +10 the next. l know Tiger does not always play great but he is concistent. What makes him better?

well ill be seeing u on tour cause l practice golf every day & l wanna be great but what sets tiger apart from everyone is his mind is all the time focused on the next shot or on the match he is playing he never thinks about anything but golf he doesnt let people get inside his head on or off the golf course. ill give an example bobby jones was facing walter hagen bobby had a huge lead over hagen & one hole hagen said wow thats another birdie that makes 54. from that point on jones was losing it why because walter got in his head by stating how well he was going

l hate to burst ur bubble.but if ur still shooting rounds at +10.you still have allot of work to do in order to be the best ever.

What makes Tiger so dominate.he knows he is better than everyone out there.and each time he plays.he tries to punish them. he can hit every shot, draws, fades, excellent short game, best under pressure putter that EVER lived.he has no fear of any shot cause he knows he can hit it, & believes he will make every shot & every putt. Bad shots do not get to him (yes, even he hits bad one is once & a while.although l doubt that he is duffed one in a very long time).he is focused & believes every time tees it up, that he is gonna win & he is got the game to make it happen.

So far the r pretty good, but they only have a part of it! Tiger is mind is his number one asset! He thinks better than others on the course: When does he take a driver off the tee? When does he hit 3 iron? He seems to know when to gamble & when not to! Next, his physical training is superior to others: weight training & running! Next, Putting! This has to be number one over everyone else when it comes to pressure putts.he makes them! How many eagles did he have in the US Open? Did he sink the putt to take him into the playoff with Rocco? Did he make an Eagle on the 72nd hole at Dubois, etc.!!! His records will stand for quite some time. Finally, l believe that when he comes back from his knee surgery, he will be even better, because for the first time in several years, he wo not be playing hurt! Look out PGA players in 2009!

Simply, it is Tiger is will, determination and desire which sets him apart.

Take the game is #2 ranked player, Phil Mickelson, for example. If you were to give Phil a shot of truth serum and asked him if he truly desires to be the greatest player of all time, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get there, he'd be compelled to say no.

And this goes for every other player in professional golf. It certainly helps, however, that Tiger has immense skill.

He is mentally strong this is what sets him apart

He has practiced so many different shots in so many different ways and he has learnt how to be phsyically and mentally strong if something does not go to plan.

He simply makes fewer mistakes than everybody else on a regular basis. He might not have the highest % of birdies or the best putting stats, i.e. putts per round

He simply gets the ball into the hole over a season in less strokes on average than anyone else.
AND THAT IS WHAT THE GAME IS ALL ABOUT

Tiger is the most mentally strong golfer l have ever seen. Never in the history of the game has one player been able to pull off as many absolutely ''must make'' shots. He seems to thrive on pressure. The tougher the situation the harder he bores down. He seems to literally create history by the force of his will.

He is also quite simply the greatest putter from 20ft in that l have ever seen.
They used to say of Jack that if u had to choose one player to make a 10ft putt for ur life u would choose Nickalus.
l believe that it is now Tiger who holds that honour
His putting stroke is absolutely pure. He is fearless & has a wonderful green reading ability.

it is a one word answer. Focus. He never deviates from his goal. Your inconsistency is only part of the process to being a great golfer. Time and dedication will foster consistency.

He is the real thing. He has a lot of game and has exceeded all expectations as well. l was in Miami when he came out in 96 and we asked a tour caddie what he thought, ''He is the real thing.'' He said, and he was right.

A borderline obsessive-compulsive determination to do whatever it takes to win (minus the cheating). Before the knee injury, his training regimine was in part a Navy SEALS routine.

He is also one of the most focused beings on earth. he does not get mad. he gets mad-decisive. His dad only allowed him to be pissed for 10 steps after a bad shot, after that, he had to let it go. Earl Woods also like to throw tees & other light-weight (nothing that'd hurt Tiger) objects into his field of vision while he was trying to make a swing. He did this for two reasons: 1. It'd piss Tiger off (back to the mad-decisive thing) & 2. it taught him to block out ALL distractions.

l do not want to sound like an a$$, but l do not think u have anywhere near the concentration level he has. Hell, put any 20 of us together & we coud not match it! Let is face it, though. you're 15. You have not even peaked yet. You have time to work on these things, & get better at them. You may not get to Tiger-ish levels, but u can get close with LOTS of mental work.
