l recently had to give up my Titleist 962 DCl irons.
Previously, l had chanced on the MPT Mizuno wedges and loved them.
l went out and bought the MP 57 irons customized to my specifications... Lie- 2 degrees and length - 1/4 inch.
My wedges are of standard manufacturer is specifications.
Question is , is it recommended to have the wedges customized to the specs for the irons?

Thank You

lie angle can make a telling difference in accuracy. I'd sure consider having them adjusted to be the same as the rest of your clubs.

Point blank - l would strongly suggest visiting a local golf shop where you can be fitted for each club by a golf professional. Some of the best golfers in the world try all different sorts of things, but you need to find what works for you. For me l prefer a little flatter setup w/ the wedges. Good luck - any other ? is - visit me at freewebs.com/egolf and ask any additional ? is

do you use titleist balls? if so stick with the titliest irons.

yes. get fitted. those are very odd specs, and if the clubs work, you should tailor all of them to your swing, not a swing to the club.

l think the answer depends on whether u make very many full swings with ur wedges. If the answer to this is no, & u primarily use the wedges as pitching & chipping clubs, they probably do not need to have the same specs as ur irons any more than a putter does. Wedges often swingweight very heavy & r designed to work on short swings where often the golfer chokes down on the club & uses a more upright lie with the clubhead clsoer to their feet. Take ur wedges & setup in ur normal chipping or pitching stance. Do u have to do anything to keep the club from being more on the heel or toe? If not, they r probably setup pretty well for you. Getting wedges fiitted to ur setup is probably a good idea, but the right specs for ur wedges might be very different than ur regular irons. Do u feel good with ur wedges & can u get them to do what u want them to do most of the time? If the answer is yes, l would not worry too much about making any changes.
