l am in high school and play on the team. l hit normally around a 50-53 on 9. Im in a little slump with my irons but once l get that fixed l should hit about a 48-50 on 9. l have a $50 wilson driver and l hit it about 250, if l have a good day on the range l can get it to go straight sometimes, but on the course l always go right. l was looking to get the Taylor Made Burner, or the Burner Draw. What is the difference? Which would be better for me? l read on the internet the Draw gives u too much draw and u end up going left is this true?

l know l should try it out myself and l am but l just wanna know the difference and get some opinions from people who are not hired to sell me a club.
BTW l signed up for golf lessons and have my first one tomorrow at a local golf club

go with the regular burner.as you improve you can hit a draw without the perimeter weighting.as for your scores, l would work a little harder and get them down to 43-45

Buying a new driver will not help you cure your slices. l suggest invest on a golf lesson first. l have same problem with you l bought the TM Burner Draw knowing to fix my slice but did not work, so l signed up for a golf lesson in Golf Galaxy for $99 (4 Lessons) believe me just after the second lesson l fixed my slices. l bet you if you signed up for golf lesson you can still used that $50 wilson driver. If you hit a slice you should get the taylormade burner draw because it is supposed make you not slice. My dad went to a sports store and they said that is what the draw is for, people who slice. He bought that club and he never slices.

its not much of a difference into the burner & burner draw. l bought the taylormade burner not to long ago & l actually hit it better than the draw & l hit a huge fade & sometimes a slice. l am a high school golf player & like u l play for the team. u should go to Academy sporting goods, that or u could go to Dick is sporting goods they will normally have a place where u can try out the clubs & a computer that tells u were the ball goes & a lot of different stuf that could help u with what Burner u get.

Try to see if you can take out a demo club of each to try in real conditions. My wife is a 3 handicap, but her drives always had a fade or tail to them. She uses the Taylor draw and hits it very straight now. l would also recommend the regular Burner and work on fixing the swing. This will benefit you more in the long run.

A new driver wo not just fix a slice or any other bad shots just like that.

Grab a quick lesson to start with that will help.

When picking the club u want, go to a pro shop with a machine which can see the ball flight, angle, distance, line etc & then the pro can tell u which club is suitable more for ur swing.

You might find that u will hit the Wilson better than the more expensive club.

This happened to me. l wanted an R7 driver, & the machine told me l could not hit it in the air & l was only hitting 180yards scoring 30/100 on my shots.

The pro worked out what l needed & gave me a much cheaper Jack Nicklous club that l was hitting 280yards with scores at 80/100.

Thats proof that the bigger name brands do not mean the best.

Taylormade Burner Draw is designed to make u hit a draw, so it can not make u hit it too far left unless u have a natural shot to the left
