I've notcied that the slingshot hybrids l just purchase fetch around 60 bucks, but origional store price is 180 bucks

why the huge change in price? they are great clubs and quality, but they almost dirt cheap why?

Its called lack of demand..folks do not particularly like them..so in order to sell them they have to be discounted.

Maybe they make promotion!

Its really pretty simple economics. As u already know, most hybrids cost 179.99 brand new. But the major manufacturers constantly bring new products to market to stimulate buying. For most of them, it means new woods & hybrids at least every year. And they know that the public will only pay 180 bucks or so for the newest hybrids. They can not raise the price of the new ones, so they have no choice but to discount the previous models substantially in order to both move through the rest of that product line & preserve their price point on the new ones. So even though ur hybrid is outstanding, after 16 months or so in the marketplace it becomes really cheap by necessity. Nothing wrong with ur club at all, just realize that golf clubs r rapidly depreciating assets

The Slingshots were one of the first Hybrid designs Nike put out. We will call them generation 2. Nike is newest, Generation 4, are the Sumo technology hybrids. There is nothing wrong with the Slingshots, they're just a few upgrades/designs behind the 'cutting edge' as it were. If they work for you and you can hit them well, then good on you for finding a quality club at a low price!
