Which wood and which hybrid

l have a 5 wood so what would compliment that well

well l hate hybrids.everyone says they are easier to hit then irons but not for me l guess..i do not rly understand your question though.one hybrid in your set should be enough. Replace either the 3 or 4 iron.keep your woods.

l perfer the Sonartec brand hybrids (got them off eBay).
Depending on the course, l pick a few from the following: a 15 degree, 17 deg., 19 deg., 21, degree, 23 deg., and 25 deg.
l use them in place of my fairway woods, as l find them easier to hit; they swing alot like an iron, but give better results due to their larger sweet spot.

Distances and control are important to know and should be considered when selecting your clubs. Some hybrids you will hit better than others. Hybrids are designed to replace your 3-4 irons as they will be easier to get airborne. That said, go to your nearest golf shop and demo several to find the best for you. Do not choose based on what others would choose.

The best way to answer this is the look at ur yardages per club.

So, lets start with the distance u hit ur driver (AVERAGE - not ur best shot)

So, lets go with 250y

Next is ur 5 wood. Lets say u hit that 200y

So, the answer is to put a club between these two distances. Regardless of the make, model, loft, etc., this needs to be a club that YOU can hit regularly around 225y.

Going further, ur entire bag should be designed in this same yardage per club fashion. REALLY good players can hit the same distance using many different clubs, varying how far they pull back, delofting/lofting their clubs, punch & run VS high & soft, etc.

Either a 4Hy or 5Hy, depending on how much yardage gap you want to tolerate in your set.

l reckon ditch the 5 wood & pick up a 19* - 21* hybrid & accompany it with a 13* 3 wood. The problem that l found with 5 woods is that you're limited to its use. Hybrids can be used in any cut & r easier to swing with thier high MOI. The 3 wood fills the gap between ur driver & hybrid but l play with guys that only have a 19* hybrid & chose to put & extra wedge in their bag.

There is a lot of talk about hybrids. its becasue they work!!! Food for thought :-)
