The Cg 14 has a gel insert and is a little more forgiving than the CG12

CG12 has a smaller head. A CG14 looks almost like a Tour Action, Reg. 588 from address (bigger, more for forgiving shape). CG14 has a plastic insert; CG12 is a more traditional wedge.

They are both great wedges but l decided to go with the CG 12 because of its feel and spin off the face. It just looks like a good wedge. The 14 does have the insert. The only purpose of that is about feel. But it delivers to much feel. And you do not get really good feedback from the club.
