Ok, well this golf season, my lowest score was 43. Right now l am 14, and a girl. These are some more of my stats.
1- l hold the school record for 3 different courses.
2- l rank 10th in the whoole divison in our league... including boys and girls.
3- Birdies 1 :(
4- Par 10
5- bogey 43
So my average is a bogey for most holes. How do u think l would stand in getting a schloarship in golf? Im only in 8th grade right now so l WILL improve. This is a little far but how about the LPGA? Please give HONEST comments! Thank You!

The best way to get a scholarship is since u r already playing for ur school is team, & playing tournaments, but r they competitive tournaments. Then the best way is to go to the IJGA, the International Junior Golf Academy where Tiger is coach, Hank Haney is the head instructor with campuses in Hilton Head, SC, & one in the central coast of Calilfornia. It is a full academy with academics in Heritage Academy in the Hilton Head campus which u can finish ur high school, & u live in house dorms with other students as roomates, & house parents. Students that go to the IJGA r all aspiring golfers from all around the world who want to play college golf, & hopefully go pro. They attend the IJGA for a full school year or semester, so u can try to go there next semester, or next year, or for ur junior, or senior year. In the IJGA, u work & improve in ur game by getting coached by Hank Haney & his instructors. Then u play in competitive tournaments for the IJGT, the International Junior Golf Tour with other students, & from there, that is where colleges see u for scholarships. Not everyone that goes to the IJGA gets schoalarships, so if u don't, u can still stay there for their post graduate program, which is the same thing, u work & improve on ur game, & go to school in the same time, then u can transfer out, & still have a shot in playing college golf. For what scores u have to be shooting, in the IJGA, u should shoot at least in the low 90s, then improve it to break 80 competitvely, & then colleges want u to score 70 or lower occaisionaly competitively. There was a show on the Golf Channel called School of Golf: Hilton Head Island which show lives of students in the IJGA, starring Hank Haney, but the show is not in season right now, so u should check ur TV listings when it is on. l highly recomend watching this show before considering going to the IJGA, then u need to have the will, because u will be away from home unless u live in or close to Hilton Head, SC, or the central coast of California. Then most importantly, u need to have the money, which is really expensive to go there. The tuition fees r $47,000 for a full year, & around $28,000 for a semester just for the golf, plus another $11,000 for a full year for the academics, so it is alot of money. If u can not afford their full program, they also offer holiday, summer, & weekend programs, which u get the same instruction & experience as students full time do, but not get the benefits of them helping u out for scholarships. Their programs cost about $1,200 per program, so if u have the money for that, go attend one of their programs, & it will improve in ur game. But if u have the money for the full program, & the will, & especially if u live in or close Hilton Head, SC or in the central coast of California, l highly recommend going here, u should not miss out on this opportunity, if u want to play college golf, & get a scholarship, ur chances of getting one is way higher if u go to the IJGA then if u do not go there. There is two campuses u can choose from, one in Hilton Head, SC, & one in Arroyo Grande, CA which is south of San Luis Obispo in the central coast of California, so if u go, choose the one closest to you, or the one u want to go to. Trust me, it is the best way to become sucessful in golf. For more information about the IJGA, & the show School of Golf: Hilton Head Island, the websites r below in the sources.

every friday or something like that go to a driving range and hit aobut 200 balls. work on all different shots. you deff need some work. my lowest score on 9 holes is 37 on 18 is 79 and yes l am a guy. HONESTLY you need some work. just put in a day or two a week and you will get better. if you wanna get real serious practice every day about 1 to 2 hours a day.

ur off to a great start, but there r some steps u need to take if u r serious about playing on the LPGA Tour or getting a golf scholarship. l am 15 & l play on the high school team, l too want to play college golf, & just had a serious talk with my coach with regards towards improving my game. Here r some of the most important things that he mentioned.

1) get a swing coach & meet with him/her frequently & work with this professional on ur swing & all aspects of ur game

2) practice by yourself, specifically on putting & chipping, things that most kids our age overlook, find a friend who has an interest in golf, it makes it a lot easier & more fun to practice.

3) Keep ur grades up, colleges like to see well rounded students, & no matter how good of a golfer u are, ur grades will ultimately determine whether or not u get that scholarship.

4) Set goals & tape them on ur mirror, so when everyday u see them & u will be thinking about them, if u meet the goal reward yourself with something. For example l collect scotty cameron stuff, so last season when l placed top 10 in 3 tournaments, l bought myself a new headcover & have plans to buy a new putter. For u maybe if ur career low, how about some pro vs?

5) Find where u r the weakest on the course, for me its my putter, thats why i've decided to MAKE 300 putts everyday this summer, in an effort to improve this part of my game.

6) believe in yourself & have fun

GOOD LUCK AND HOPE THIS HELPS, IF YOU PUT THE EFFORT IN YOU WILL BE REWARDED.

You r doing great for an 8th grader! Your golf swing will change as ur body changes over the next few years, so now is the time to start learning as much as u can about the fundamentals of the swing & why the ball goes where it does. It is also the time to gain the best short game around. You really want to play for a living? Or get a college scholarship? Get it up & down from anywhere & putt the eyes out of the ball. If u r a great putter, then u r a threat everyday, no matter how good or bad u r hitting the ball. l do not mean a decent putter, or better than average, u need to be a great putter to play professionally. The LPGA tour is now full of young Asian girls who have trained rigorously their whole lives to play golf. You want to compete with them? Time to get to work!

you are off to a good start. practice as much as you can. enter in the jr tournaments. keep in mine there are many carees in golf that do not mean playing on tour. by all means if you have the ability to go on tour you,ll know it.
